There are different stages of recovery. There is a stage where you want to get better, but the step you need to take to recover are too much. After this stage there is wanting to recover and being able to take baby steps in order to recover. Recover is a hard process. There is not a perfect way to recover. It is different from person to person.
Sometimes, people don't want to get better because they're afraid they'll get hurt again after the recovery is complete.
Making the choice to recover or not is a big decision. It takes a lot of time and consideration to decide if you truly want to get better and if you're ready to put in the work to do so. Think carefully about what's best for you right now.
I am sure you will get some one better. You deserve to be happy. Move forward to see the beautiful life that is waiting for you.
Because you don't want to get better. Because not getting better is serving a purpose. all be it a bad one.
Sometimes we are comfortable where we are, and when we are comfortable we do not want to change where we are. Try finding out the reason why you can't decide better or not and make sure that it is not comfort that is weighing it for you.
Sometimes when there are too many things in your brain, you find it hard to make decisions about your life. Even though deep down you do know that you want to get better.
Sometimes it is hard to look forward and see how there is going to be a change, and if there is a change for the better, how can you know you won't fall back down again? This is normal, and you might need some support to get you through it, but in the end it will always get better, even though you don't see how right now.
It depends on what you want to get better at. Is it something you really desire to do and you have the resources? Go for it. If you wish to do something, you have the power in you to do it. Sometimes people can't decide how to get better is because they have mixed feelings about it.
First of all, don't be so hard on yourself. You can do what you want to do when you want to do it. No one is in charge of you, but you. Secondly, It is perfectly normal to feel as if you want to stay in a "place" that is normal and comfortable for you. For example, I know that starting an exercise program is the wise the thing to do for one's health. However, it is hard and new and I don't know how to start by myself. So for now, I am in control and can sit in the feelings I am having for as long as I want. Then at some point, I might want to do something differently. Finally, it is ok to reach out to someone and say, "I feel a little lost and uncomfortable right now, but I think I want to try something different. Can you "walk" next to me while I do this? In the end, the road you choose will be there to support you as you walk along the path. Be kind to yourself and gracious. You are a wonderful soul.
