No one can make you listen or follow whatever they say unless you allow them too.. Best to avoid them but if you really have to talk to them take it by ear only.

Its frustrating to find a lying family member. You can't really change your family so you must understand that you will have to put up with it. I simply accept the fact that I can't change that person but I don't trust anything coming from them. If its something that doesn't need any action then I simply ignore otherwise I verify the given inflammation from someone else and decide. I don't argue with the lying family member or try to fix them. This saves me from unwanted frustration, allows me to keep my relationship good with that particular family member.
