It is very common to have problems with your parents. Around half of the teenagers suffer a lower comparability with their parents. This is mainly due to the generation gap. They grew up in a different environment and society. But, obviously it is not possible to disown them. I believe when you encounter such understanding problems with your parents, better take it slow and steady. They won't understand your perception in an hour or a day. Try understand their point and keep your point along. Try finding an intermediate solution. Don't start avoiding them. Talk a lot, and try telling them how do you take things. Tell them about the latest discoveries, trends and fashion. It takes time, but building an understanding with your parents is possible by being patient, calm and by having a regular healthy conversation with them. Just don't give up on them.

Trying to maintain an open and honest relationship with family is always a good start when trying to resolve issues. My parents have been divorced for many years and I've developed two very different relationships with both my parents. I'm open and honest with my mother, and more reserved and closed off from my father. I'm sure you can guess which parent I have fewer problems with. It's not easy to suddenly start being open with your parents, but start small. Talk about what happened in your day and what made you laugh and what made you sad. From there you will start to develop your own bond with them and you will feel more confident to talk about issues you may have with them. I've started doing that with my dad, and I've already seen big improvements in our relationship. Good luck!
