i never fail to make my family sad. but, they don’t understand that this is the body that i have to live in. why does it make them sad that i respond in such ways and want to do certain things?

Often times people react out of ignorance. Maybe they are reacting in a way out of fear or confusion. It might be helpful to have a sit down that allows them to ask questions and you answer to get everyone on the same page. If they are having a hard time understanding and connecting with you that might help bring you all closer together. It might also give them a chance to ask questions that help give them clarity on who you are as person so they don’t make you feel like you are failing. I’m sure they don’t even know they are doing that to you.
