I will be turning 18 in 3 months. I've had a boyfriend for 3 years now, but my parents don't know about him because my dad won't let me date & wouldn't let me out of the house to see him. What do I do?

I have been through a lot in life too, which helps me to be able to empathize with situations, thoughts and feelings that we have. Sometimes, it's not easy just being human.

I would talk to a member of 7 cups who specializes in this topic or has had a similar experience. You are an expert on this topic though, so what would you like to do in this situation? Also, what do you think would be the worst-case scenario out of this situation? Lastly, think about what you would need to do to avoid the worst-case scenario and be in a good position in this situation? I hope I've answered your question well enough, but if I my answer was not satisfactory, then I would contact another member personally so that you can express your situation directly to that person. I hope everything goes well with your situation. Have a great day!

I think you should try talking to your parents about it and see if maybe they'll change their mind either now or when you're 18 years old. But, to honest, you have your whole life to be with someone and you shouldn't be too worried about these things because you'll find someone when you get older. I understand that sometimes it makes you feel like your parents don't understand you or you don't know why they won't let you date, but a lot of times it's just because some people believe you should focus and worry on just going to school and that kind of stuff instead of boys.
