If you're the enmeshed person, trying to find your own identity (including thinking about what makes you...YOU!) makes a lot of sense. If the enmeshment is two other family members, it sure makes sent to try and give them all their space. Sometimes people get enmeshed because a parent didn't give a child space when they were growing to allow them to become their own person, or maybe someone is actually kind of codependent on the the other person. Either way, saying something about it (especially holiday time) doesn't help much, unless you're looking to get distance! :-) Best of luck to you!
