Absolutely. It is important to realize what you are doing with the money you are earning, because it can be gone before you know it. Being a spender is not necessarily a bad thing, depending on what you're spending your money on. If it is going more towards food, and material items that you don't really need, then you should evaluate what you are spending it on and ask yourself "Do I really need this?". You can be using that money to pay bills and be ahead of them so you won't have to worry in the future. Also, if you are saving, what are you saving for? Sometimes you don't need to know the answer right away, but you should have a purpose because it keeps you motivated.
