I end up leaving movie theaters because of a really bad fear of a shooting specifically in a theater. Any tips to end this phobia?

I think that exposure to the activity scaring you would help some, try going during the day afternoons, most people work during the day so wouldn't be so busy and sit close to the exit, then tell yourself if anything happens I am close to exits. I totally understand your fear though bad things happen often and it's totally okay to be scared. You'll get through this.
