How is opening up supposed to help me when there are toxic people out there who prey on our vunerability? Is there any other suggestion that does not lead to a nowhere?

There are toxic people out there, but there are more people who will not try to abuse you opening up about your vulnerabilities. I can't guarantee that there won't be someone waiting to abuse your vulnerabilities, but the alternative would be having to do everything by yourself. That's quite the burden which you don't *have* to carry.
When I say it's better to open up, you don't have to open up to everyone. Finding just a few people you feel like you can trust may already help you to deal with whatever you are dealing with right now. This can be a friend or relative close to you, but you can also connect to a listener on here while remaining completely anonymous, so no one can use whatever you tell them against you if that's what you're afraid of.
