I have a really weird fetish. It's not harmful to me or others, but I want to get rid of it. Is it possible and should I?

In the past, there were things that I enjoyed too, but I gradually moved on. However, I believe that if your fetish is not harmful to anyone, then there is no reason to try and get rid of it. I understand that you may feel ashamed of this fetish--but really if it is not harming anyone then you do not need to feel ashamed. If you believe you should get rid of it, then there are ways to do it. However, if you enjoy the fetish, then perhaps rethink whether or not you should try getting rid of your fetish.

I am guessing I have a very similar fetish. I have tried over and over again to get rid of it. I don't think there is any way to truly rid yourself of it. I think you have to acknowledge it exists but point your attention elsewhere when it pops up. I struggle with it daily. I've never "gotten rid of it" but I can redirect my energy (sexual or otherwise) elsewhere. As long as I am mindful, avoid certain things online, and not walk down certain aisles at the grocery or pharmacy, then I am fine.
