I work with youth and young adults to help them improve depressive symptoms and self-esteem as well as effectively address family, relationship and peer conflicts.

Go out in nature. Natural light and surroundings help clear your mind. Doodle without trying to make sense of it. Paint, if you can. Maybe go for a jog or a run. Interact with kids or animals.
Basically, your brain gets fogged because you might be stressing too much about one thing. Do something else for a while and your brain will be able to focus again.
Take regular breaks from work so that you avoid over stressing. Eat well! Your brain needs fuel to keep up!
Avoid doing anything that requires you to focus on one thing - don't read a book, for example or try to follow a recipe.
Be carefree and aimless for a while until you feel like your brain can focus again.
