This can be a very difficult thing to know and to comprehend. After losing someone, through a grievance or a breakup, it can be very hard to show romantic feelings to another person again - or even to feel these feelings. This is definitely a question many people have asked themselves and there isn't always a straightforward answer. It can come from within; we know when we are ready. Perhaps we may start to develop feelings for someone, or maybe we feel the sadness and potential stress from previous relationships drain away from us. Sometimes, we know if we're ready to love someone because we've fallen in love again. It is okay for us to lower our barriers sometimes. Trust your heart and your instincts - and your emotions. Let your heart guide you. Hopefully this helps.
