I often feel the same way when I become overwhelmed with school/work/life. It's normal to feel so tired that it becomes hard to care about what is going on in your daily life. I've found that it helps me when I'm overwhelmed to think really carefully about what I am doing in each moment, to practice being mindful. It takes a while to get used to, but being very attentive to every action you make in the present moment forces you to care about what you are doing and ultimately helps slow down time to catch your breath. You can try this during any part of your day, like doing the dishes or eating or taking a walk.

Why doesn't taking care of myself come naturally to me?
