Does everyone secretly despise LGBTs although many openly claim to accept and love it, including LGBT members and allies? Are there really people who see LGBT as of equal worth as heterosexuals?

I'm a strong believer of equality he're. So yes, there are indeed people who see LGBTQ+ equal as heterosexuals. There are many people who have the same mindset in this world.

Absolutely 100% there are people who see LGBTQ+ people as of equal worth to heterosexuals. I have no reason to lie seeing as I'm answering anonymously anyhow. I see absolutely no reason whatsoever that people of different sexual orientations shouldn't be equal. Who cares who you love? We are all humans, and it doesn't matter one bit what our sexual orientation is.

I genuinely believe that there are lots of people out there who truly love and accept the LGBT community. Unfortunately, the most hateful people are also often the loudest, even if they're a small minority, and I hate the pain that they cause. I see a shift in our culture heading towards more acceptance, though I know that we are still far behind from where we should be. I will tell you that I genuinely believe all members of the LGBT community are of equal worth to anyone else. I find it preposterous to think that any human would be considered lesser than for any reason. We are all made different and that's what makes the human race beautiful. You are loved and accepted exactly as you are.

There might be a few people who secretly despise LGBTQ+ people, even though they may claim to accept them, but there are people who see LGBT+ people as of equal worth as heterosexual and/or cisgender (so not transgender) people, and I know a few of them, and I personally do, as I'll be friends with someone no matter their gender or sexuality, as it's just an aspect of them, like their height or eye color.

LGBT people are worth just as much as heterosexuals are. There's a giant community that accepts us as who we are. Unfortunately, there's still a lot of people that discriminate against people from the LGBT community. But no, not everyone secretly despises us.

Of course there are, it may seem like a lot of people secretly hate LGBT people, but they most likely don't understand. There are definitely people who see LGBT people as equals to heterosexuals and anyone else. Many of my friends are like this, and their families.

Of course! Take me as an example, and many of my friends absolutely support LGBTQ+s. For me, a person is a person, and identifying yourself as someone/ identifying yourself as liking some people different than what others refer to as 'normal' is amazing, and hopefully in the future there will be no labels. And I am sure there are many others like I who fully support LGBTQ+s and helping people come out. Everyone is worth it. Hope it helped! :)

Sadly, I believe there are still people who dislike LGBT's but I firmly believe it's a small minority of people. I don't know why anybody would claim to accept and love it but secretly despise it though. LGBT are without a doubt of equal worth as heterosexuals. People are people and love is love.

There is people who see it equally, and there's people who don't. I think that there are people in the community who feel ashamed and hate their sexuality and community for whatever reason, they can choose to say they love it tho, and I think that may be common. On the other hand, no there's not people who like LGBT people and they're very open about it! It's not the greatest thing but we can work towards stopping it. I think you'll find that there are more people who accept it then people who don't in this day and age :)

Sexuality does not and should not ever determine one's worth as a person. LGBT people are as equal as anyone therefore there shouldn't be any reason to view them differently! :)

That’s a very valid question. No,everyone does not despise LGBTQ members. They are as human as any of us and thus, deserve to be treated the same.Their perception of the world and their identity may be different from ours, but that does not give any of us the right to discriminate against them or abuse them.Only those people despise them who are not confident about themselves and hence derive pleasure from their misery. They are insecure and conservative,so they expect everyone else to share the same outlook. So,to conclude, yes while there are people with regressive mindset’s out there, most of us view LGBTQ members as equal to heterosexuals.

Of course there are people! I am bisexual and the path to discovering my identity was cushioned by warm and kind people both on as well as not on the spectrum. They all believed that sexual identity doesn't define someone's worth and I believe that just as strongly as well. To be able to love someone is a beautiful and pure thing that can only ever be good. Anyone who discriminates another for who they love simply doesn't know enough to make a more informed opinion. I think with time there are definitely more people who believe LGBT people to wholly be equals - to see them as equals is another thing though. I wholeheartedly believe that we are all worth the same regardless of sexual identity as do many others, but I can see that we are not equals despite that everyday. Although we should be, we still have a long way to go until we are all treated the same and I can see that. But at the core of the issue, the only guideline by which anyone deserves to be judged is by how they treat others and what they put out into the world. Who you love is completely irrelevant to what kind of person you are. If anything - all your sexual identity demonstrates is that you have love to give, which is a wonderful thing.

I'm confused on this question..? Are you asking if everyone lies about what they accept and love? I'm pretty sure all the people that participate in and support Pride Parades aren't lying about their feelings. You can't fake that sort of love and passion with so many people. (Also for future reference, you forgot the Q+ in LGBTQ+).

Yes, I know because some of my friends are LGBT, and I think of them the same as everyone else. Love yourself no matter what.

I am in the lgbtq+ community and I feel happiest and safest with other people that are too. There is a quiet understanding and let`s be honest, we are much more fun. I discovered that lgbtq+ people are more likely to be open to new things. (At least my people are)

It doesn't matter if they despise it or not, just bring us no harm and it's all good. There are lots of people who see LGBT as of equal worth as heterosexuals.

I believe we are all the same. Many people reject LGBT because society told them to, I believe society is wrong. There is no reason, real or fictitious, that supports there's a difference between LGBT and heterosexuals.

Of course there are! I know sometimes it might not feel like there are and you might feel kind of lonely, especially if you're in a place that lacks representation, but I promise there are people inside and out of the community that are 100% in love with it, including myself.

No. Many people are very accepting of people of the LGBT community. It isn’t fair to treat them any different then the heterosexuals.

It seems that way sometimes, doesn't it?. There are people who push for equality every day, advocating and being activities. There are geat resources here dealing specifically with this very topic.

Yes, there are many people who see LGBT+ as equal worth of the heterosexual community. While there is hate and there will always be, that does not mean everyone dislikes the community. Whether involved inside of it or an alliance to it, widespread acceptance is a growing phenomenon.

There definitely are. While there are some people who hide a lot of homophobia in their supposed support, there are plenty who truly do see you as equal! It's often tough to tell, but if someone is actively supportive of you, many times they are truly trying to support you. Be careful of people who are only faking, but also realize that many, many people truly care about you and love you for who you are.

Absolutely! There are many, many people who love and accept LGBTs; myself included. My opinion is that whatever makes you happy, whatever you want in life, as long as it's not hurting anyone including yourself you should always go for it!

There are some people who are like that, but not all. Everyone has different opinions and so it's hard to give a direct yes or no answer to that. No matter what you do, or what good you try to achieve, there will be people who disagree and hate it. That is just a sad part of life which you need to raise your chin and rise above.

Yes there are many people who do because we are all humans, we were created not to be superior over one another but because we are all equals, no one is above another

Yes, there are many people who believe in equality regardless of gender or sexuality - not least those who identify as LGBT themselves. However, unfortunately we live in a world where there are still many inequalities and prejudice against LGBT people, a lot of which is historical (older generation who were taught it was wrong and immoral - and sometimes illegal to be gay) and also religious (certain belief systems which are against homosexuality). A lot depends on upbringing and which culture or society you belong to - not everyone is as free to express their sexuality or gender as others. However, I believe we are making progress in the right direction and along with other marginalized groups the LGBT community are making strides in their demands for equality. As identifying as LGBT myself I believe we need to continue to have #pride in our LGBT identities but also to empower allies to actively be part of supporting that as without that we risk contributing to the "them and us" culture which allows inequality to continue.

There are tons of people who fully support the LGBT community and just so happen to be straight. And yes, there are people who see everyone having equal worth. Some people may secretly hate LGBTs, but they are just having a hard time accepting others.

It's hard to know what people truly think about things. But it is easier, I think, to look at their actions. Sure they claim to accept and love it, but do they act supportive? And in that sense I think the answer is yes, there are people who genuinely act in a way that supports LGBT people— regardless of what they might secretly "believe".
