If you feel them, then they are as real as any other feelings felt by you or anyone else. Only you know how you feel.
All feelings are real. Whatever you are feeling you are feeling for a reason. I know that a lot of the time if I'm having difficulty figuring out why I'm having certain emotions, that if I allow myself to sit in a quiet area for a while and talk it out to myself that I can usually figure out why I'm feeling a certain way. At that point I can then decide to take action to change anything that needs changed, or if nothing can be changed, to accept what ever it is and focus my attention of something else.
All feelings are real, if you feel them they are real. nobody can tell you a feeling is or isn't real since they are not the ones who are feeling it. Once you have accepted that what you are feeling is true it is then your responsibility to determine how to move forward with this realization and what needs to be done for your best interest. If you're not sure if something is real you likely wouldn't feel it to begin with.
I check in with my gut. That is, I become quiet and still and I ask myself: "How do I really feel about this?" The next emotion to arise will be the truth. I accept it...whether I like it or not. This same process might work for you. :-)
Best thing to do is soul search. Contemplate a lot on your feelings, the answer will come in its own time. Sometimes experimenting helps as well
You can figure out if the feelings are real by thinking about if you really feel this way. If your feelings were, for example, LGBT feelings, would you be happy in that situation? If yes, the feelings are real. If not, they are false.
By giving it a chance, or a try. There is nothing wrong with experimenting and experiencing. But make sure to always be clear about your feelings. You should never promise anything to another person if you're not sure.
If you can sleep in peace at night believing that your feelings are not true, then they are not real.. True feelings do not let you sleep at all.. Or rather sleep peacefully until you take the right action and take steps to show your feelings no matter what the reply is. So now you know.! And we are humans.. It is absolutely fine to have all kinds of feelings... Just know which one you should let you control your mind and which one to not, which one to show and which one to not. Have a great day and a great life ahead.
