Pros: You can know a lot about other countries, cultures, people, even another idioms. Is really funny, it helps a lot if you are learning a new idiom, or you just want to make friends. Cons: In this world, some people are bad, maybe they're liars, they can have bad intentions.

Pros would be that you are more open to talk about topics that you really care about without fear of being judged. You would do and say things you would not dare saying face to face. But it is also a bit unsave as the person behind the screen could not be the person they claim to be or suddenly just disappear leaving you lost and confused.

Pros is that you can connect with people across the globe understand them and have a feel of their culture and they can know you too. The cons is that you don’t see the person physically so you do not know who is there on the other side and could be a cheat, tout or fraud also.

They can be anywhere in the world. You don't have to be in the same room, let alone the same country as each other. You often get closer emotionally to online friends because email encourages you to say what you really feel, think etc. Disv: You can't be close to them physically, you can't hug/hold hands etc, you can find some pretty strange people online (hmm), safety always has to be a consideration, not knowing who someone is can be fun, but there is always a chance you are talking to your local Ax Murderer)

You are able to be more open and expressive when you are meeting new people and friends online. Although sometimes this person can cause an unhealthy amount of time on the internet. It is important to have limits.

Pro- new friends, if you are self conscious (even though you are a beautiful human being) they won’t see you, you can talk to people all around the world, you don’t necessarily have to be outgoing, if they speak another language you can use google translate, they probably won’t judge you Con- could be some creepy dude living in their parents basement, could accidentally forget about you, if either of you lose internet or get grounded or something like that you’ll have no way to talk, if you are younger your parents/caretakers may freak out, if last one is true you may have to hide them, if last two are true it may cause stress and anxiety

Depends on the type of friends, to an extent you may not know who you are talking to and what their intentions are as well as the fact that people care less about others when they are under the protection of anonymity but I personally think its a great way to meet people who you have things in common with. I personally met my girlfriend online on some chatroom and we have been together for the last 2 years.

Having a friend online can help you be comfortable to talk anything with them considering that they know less or nothing about you although it can sometimes be very dangerous because you equally don't know much about this online friend and you may not be certain of their intentions.

Cons are that it might be difficult to connect and understand each other. Pros are that you will find someone who truly understands you, so you can both help each other

In my opinion, many pros are: you can be yourself around them, they often understand you, most of them really care about you and love you and they are there when you feel upset. Cons are: different timezones, if you live in different countries you might not meet them and you never know who you're talking to

Making friends is always a nice thing. Making friends online is not so different. But, there are pro's and con's for having an online friendship. The main con is distance. Sure, you could be a mile apart of each other, but you could also be thousands of miles apart. With the pro's of online friendship, you will still have a friend to help you out.

There are too many pros to list them all. Finding a friend online is useful if you're too busy to meet people or if you're feeling lonely. Usually the bonds are stronger but there are some cons too. They may not be the person you expected, you may lose contact over time.

Making friends online can be good, because there may be people with similar interests. Having conversations about shared interests gets one's mind off the negatives. A negative to making an online friend, is that one may see the friend as someone to depend on. The friend might not always be there, and may not show compassion when approached with a negative situation.

If you make a friend online and your comfortable with that friend you can share your problems with that unknown friend of yours without caring what he'll think because he personally doesn't know...on the other hand you can't trust him until he's earned your trust which will take quite a time....

A pro is that you get to know each other’s personality before you actually see them where as a con is that you can’t actually hang out with them or give each other hugs

A lot of people are able to make friend on line easier since they can be free to be the person they want, however, this also leads to lies. Some people are not happy with themselves and want to be accepted so much they tell others what they think they want to hear. If you decide to make friend on line, talk for a while though chats, Skype and other things before giving out any personal information. It can be risky but you can also meet good people. Remember, if you feel something is a "red flag", it probably is!

The Pros of making friends online like this site is you'll get the help and support you need to solve a situation on your own but in the end it's up to you to decide. The cons of making friends friends online is you don't know who you might be speaking to at times that leads into many confusions and negotiations and some people can be mean and unfriendly on the internet depending where you end up using for social media communication.

Before making friends online, we should keep in mind about the bias of friendship online. Majority of people just look for casual talk, not try to look for serious friendship. So it's difficult for us to actually make "friends" and determine anything about the person based on chatting only. Again, the motive of a stranger wanting to be a friend online is often not friendship. Especially for us girls, strangers who want to be our friend can have hidden motives that might be harmful, such as misusing our personal details for malicious motives. However, in some rare cases, it is possible to build a friendship on the web. Probably the friendship we have may exist longer than those we have with people in real life because distances can't keep us apart. Our online friends can be our support system, helping us get over of the feeling of loneliness. Also. we can actually learn some lessons from them to put things in perspective and make a different approach to our problems.

Pros: Someone new and exciting to talk to, you can meet people around the world, it satisfies your social life. Cons: You don't actually know who they are because you have never met them. Always be careful not to give too much personal information out.

There are many pros and cons! I'm glad you asked this because many people face these issues when talking to others. I've found out that tons of people out there are creeps. You've gotta be careful who you run into out there. It is a dangerous world, after all. It's nice having some online friends, but it really sucks when they can't actually be there for you. Ya know?

There are so many pros! They're almost always there for you, there's no worry about getting judged on appearance and there's never a requirement to dress up for them! It can be infinitely helpful for people with anxiety issues. However, you hardly ever get to hug them :(

The pros are that you can walk away or turn off communication by turning off the computer. Also being online is like a wall, between you and the other person, so sometimes it can seem more comfortable. There are also so many avenues to explore online to meet people. The cons are you are not seeing body language unless you do video, and it's not as easy to see sencerity or know the person as well as you can learn in people. People can be more deceptive online.. best to be careful and not tell everything about yourself to s stranger.

The pros of making friends online is; You don't have to always be there talking to them, you can go on and off whenever you want to. You can meet others from different states/countries (which can be quite interesting). There are a lot more pros. The main cons are the people could be fake/catfishes/online predators. So it's always best to be safe online and not too trusting.

The pros are definitely the accessibility; it's relatively simple to make friends online since you don't really see each other face to face, so there is no initial judgment. However, the cons are just that: you don't see each other face to face. How do you know you can trust the other person? Are they really what they say they are? You should always remain cautious when going online.

The pros and cons about making friends online for me is you can share just about anything and everything and for some reason in the beginning emotions are easily able to be expressed. I wonder if that is simply because they are not here in person to break her heart or to disappoint you simply because of the psychological reason that you can just move on to another person. Without getting physically attached in person but little do we know we are getting physically attached with a person but for some reason the psychological aspect does not quite grasp. And regards to the cons if the person indeed is a genuine person distance is what keeps the closeness strong and it ends up becoming scary of losing that friend that understands you so well and you understand them so well you feel that connection so deep but because of it being online you could never feel see or touch that person when you truly get very close to them

A benefit of online friendship is getting to learn more about lives, struggles, and tribulations of individuals that may not always be in your area. A major con is that these individuals may not be as they write themselves to be.
