Know that everyone is different and acts in different ways with different ways of thinking as well..Always remember that and treat your friends following that concept..

Friendships should make you feel accepted, uplifted and understood. The emotions can be overwhelming and you might find that you want to give or invest too much into the relationship. Doing this will start creating an environment where you keep a tally of how much you give, vs. how much you get. Be WARY of this internal tally. Only gift and give things if they make YOU feel good. Do not expect anything in return. Do not let others gift you things so often that you feel guilty. A good friendship can go silent for decades, never hearing a word from one another. But the moment a friend calls on you, or you call on them for help BOTH of you are always there for the other person.
