Why can't I feel anything? Sometimes, I feel everything. Other times, I feel some emotions. Most of the time, I felt an emotion but it was just thin. I feel too numb to notice. Why?

Sometimes people with depression or other mental illnesses can feel overwhelmed by outside stimuli. Your brain will try to protect you can block off the bad emotions that are causing you stress, but instead it will just shut down everything. Other times you are just not doing well and instead of focusing on the thing that is causing you to harm you try to project onto others, leaving you feeling empty without others around. I hope that you feel better soon and that you are able to figure out what is happening with the support of others around you. Have a better day
