since you know what it feels like to be the child of your parents, you will know exactly what it would feel like to your kid if you were treating it like your parent. This ability to emphasise and reflect will help you to notice whenever you behave like your parents did and you will grow from there. It is important to know your roots and having an idea of what you want to improve. Parenting is a progress, not a state. Take your parents as a point of reference and you will learn from that, your kid will help you growing and improving
