At this point in time, you can't ever change someone's view on something. I would sit down and speak with him, making sure that you know whether or not your feelings are correct or not. There's no reason to fear if what your fearing does not exist.

The first thing I would like to point out is that we cannot know what another person is feeling or thinking without speaking to them. Communication can help when both people are on the same page. Even though we may have differences we can begin healing or repairing as we speak and get to understand one another better.
I have experienced that feeling of disconnection from my partner. I also contemplated often about what was going on and what I could do. Then through communication I learned it wasn’t me they were going through something and the way they know to cope was by disconnecting from everything. Eventually we figured there was work needed as individuals and work needed as a team.
