You need to talk to him and you need to make things clear to him. Communication is everything and it is one of the most important things in a relationship. misunderstandings can cause a lot of trouble. Please talk to him and make him aware of your feelings and explain to him why it is affecting you so much. Try to find a compromise that makes both of you happy. It should not be normal that you are not so important to him, but at the same time please respect his decisions that he does because everyone should put his own life as his first priority
