I go through the same thing! Maybe it's because you're a feelings over thinking kind of person. And you see the best in others or they're really good at being deceiving. When you like someone, nice things tend to amplify while negative things are overlooked and could potentially be warning signs. There are really a lot of different reasons why this happens to you and why you feel this way. Maybe take some time to think about it and make yourself aware of why it is and maybe it will help you become more cautious of who you could potentially get infatuated with or helps to get over the person you currently like that you don't want to.

You become infatuated with people even though they are bad for you because you believe you deserve what they have to offer to you. At times they have little to nothing to offer you, but you choose to see the best in them because that's the person you are. There's nothing wrong with being that way, but you have to come to understand that it is okay to prioritize yourself and be selfish every once in a while. You deserve more than what a lot of people have to offer, so choose to not settle for less than what you deserve.
