How long does it take before my scars look more like skin than scars?

Personally , Ive asked myself the same question. About 4 months is the answer. I self harmed about 4 months ago and thats the amount of time it took for my scars to go away and blend in with my skin. But self harm is not the way to go. That's definitely the one thing that I've learned. Instead of hurting yourself find another alternative to ease the pain. Whether it be talking it out, crying, screaming into a pillow, or listen to your music and sing at the top of your lungs. Anything is better than hurting yourself.
