If you feel able to, you should tell your parents and then you will not have the fear of them 'finding out by accident', and they may be able to direct you to getting help to cope with the self harming. It is nothing to be ashamed of but definitely important that you keep yourself safe. In telling them, you may feel that it helps with your emotions as that could be a weight lifting off of your shoulders too. It is hard what youre going through but with help, love, and support you will be able to get through this.
