It makes me less angry whenever I hurt myself. But after I do it. I'm scared that others will see the scars and overreact. What should I do? I know this is bad but I think it's already a habit.

When u are self harming your body is numbed by adrenaline and anger because of this u fewl nothing and dont feel thw pain you are causing but afterwards you worry what others will think about the scaring and you feel the need to hide it . All these feelings are normal but they wont help u when u feel like talking about your self harm .people may overreact but it matters what u think and feel not what other think of you .your feelings are most important

Hurting yourself is the worst thing you can do. There are so many coping mechanisms and healthy outlets. Writing, drawing, dancing, listening to music, screaming. It's not worth it to permanently scar yourself for a temporary emotion. You have to remember that everything is temporary. It's stupid and irresponsible to hurt yourself. Don't worry about people and what they'll think. Worry about making healthy decisions. It's not cute and it's not something that will get you any further from where you are. So heres what you should do: not hurt yourself. It's easy, its effective, and there's no worries. There's no excuse. Stop making them up for yourself.
