I feel like I am not real because a lot of my family doesn't care about me. I feel like I've been stuck in the same place for a million years, and that's why I sometimes wonder if I really died a few years ago...

You are probably dealing with depersonalization. It is not uncommon, don't worry, It is a form of anxiety. You should always talk to someone you trust about your struggles.

Depression, sleep deprivation, stress and other issues can make us feel detached from reality and therefore make us feel like we or everything around us is not real. It may also be a symptom of more severe mental health illness. If it is accompanied by other symptoms such as hallucinations, it is always good to consult with a professional.

That's probably depersonalization. You feel like you are "not real" or "not you". This is common to many pathologies such as depression or anxiety and can lead to things like self-harm, so you should get yourself checked.

Feeling like you're not real, sounds a lot like a dissociation. Dissociation is kind of like one of your bodies defence mechanisms for if you're experiencing to much stress. It can be a symptom of other disorders as well though such as anxiety or depression. I remember feeling that way myself sometimes when my anxiety was really bad, like nothing around me was real and I was somehow disconnected, for me at least it was really scary and I had to force myself to take deep breaths until it disappeared.

This is a form of anxiety, it's depersonalization, which means that you may feel separated from yourself or from reality. To help cope with this feeling it may be helpful to: Acknowledge and accept the feeling of depersonalization, focus on your immediate surroundings, and to engage with those around you.

Feeling of being not real or not of this world or perhaps not connected to ones own body come from having a disassociative disorder. It is a very treatable disorder.
