I can't fall asleep easily,I woke up almost every night without a reason ,I have dreams almost every night but can't remember them unless I felt really afraid or sad.Why?Is it normal?

Most people don't remember dreams and scientist think it's because while we are sleeping we are not paying attention to are dreams. However when something is sad or scary to us are brains hold on to them which is why you remember the not so fun ones. You might not know it, but I bet there is something deep down keeping you from sleeping well.
