Education just gives you the extra knowledge you need to persue your career. Of cause then again you can learn most things online and so on. But it also teaches you on how to socialize and work as a team. As well as meet deadlines for projects and so on.

Depends on what "education" means to you. Learning? Life is education and education is life. Reading, talking with people, traveling, TED Talks on Youtube. Amazing, mind-broadening stuff that forms you into a wise, well-rounded individual. College degree? College degrees help you get, keep, and get promotions in a job. Monetary security is nice.

While there are many studies that demonstrate that higher education is correlated with better health outcomes and such there are some successful people who dropped out of high school or did not go to college. Now, I think things are different and there are a lot of different paths people can go down without having to go to college. It is still the traditional route that most people take, but certainly isn't necessary for some things. If you want to become a doctor of some sort then you will need higher education, but Bill Gates did not go to college (or he dropped out at least) and he is very successful.

It depends on person to person. Education only matters how much a person can utilise it properly. If it's causing them distress or depression or even troubles, it might not matter much. For me education is essential in life, its the path I set off on and arranged for myself, a blessing, a luxury. But if you have another path available for you, that might seem more worthy and less distressing for you then Education, then that path isn't any less important then education. But its important to note, that many of the world issues are caused by a lack of proper literacy and education and many of our previous world problems were solved by education. Education makes people aware, whether it about their rights, themselves and the world. without education, people in dire trouble would not be able to understand their problems properly, whether it be about their mental or physical health, their government, or their relationships, and much less find a solution. It can be argued that education, there are still existing problems and inequality, but education has lowered the problems, additionally, the problem may not lie with the notion of education, but the particular model of education. In conclusion, the importance of education varies on individual to individual and enviroment.
