Rather than trying to not do something, sometimes doing something positive helps keep you motivated and keeps you from feeling deprived. You might want to look into making sure that the carbs you eat are the most nutritious carbs you can. You are worth going to the extra effort of feeding yourself on good and healthy things. There are a lot of junk food carbs out there, but there are also a lot of delicious good carbs out there. Can you think of any healthy high-nutrition carbs that you like? If you start craving carbs and you already have a plan of what would be healthy you can make good nutrition choices that will be good for you and be satisfying as well.

It is not necessary to cut out carbs, as good carbs are very beneficial. If you cut out carbs you will be more hungry and less likely to stick to a diet anyway. Choose whole grain options over white carbs and sweet potatoes over white potatoes etc. Your body still needs fuel even when dieting.
