Emotions that feel out of control can be frightening. I believe in the power of using concrete steps and tools to assist people in making sense of their emotions by beginning to understand how feelings are connected to thoughts, actions, and experiences. Increasing this understanding is what helps people rediscover their inner strengths and gain a sense of hope and confidence. I have experience working in intensive services as well as outpatient therapy, and work closely with individuals in a client-centered and integrated approach, that is largely informed by CBT and DBT approaches, and tailored to fit each person's needs.
