Occasionally our tensions, anxieties or repeated patterns of behaviour can feel overwhelming in their weight and complexity. I believe in the importance of establishing a solid relationship and building a space that enables new perspectives and insights which can help us disentangle the vast binds we find ourselves in.
We have a choice: to continue following unconscious patterns of behaviour, or, to expand our level of conscious awareness and enable new modes of being that allow us to build deeper, more meaningful relationships with ourselves and others.
I work integratively, which means that I utilise a number of different theoretical approaches in order to work uniquely with each client. I particularly focus on the manner in which past experiences can inform our modes of relating; bodily reactions; patterns of behaviour and how we interact with others.
Qualifications and experience:
I have over over ten years experience in mental health working in various settings including: schools, prisons, supported accommodation for people with severe mental health diagnoses, and in higher education. Additionally, I have held positions as a therapist in a Hospice providing support to people’s process of grief, as part of a low cost therapy service in West London and I run my own Private Practice.
I am a fully registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
