More Information-
Anxiety disorders are a group of mental/psychiatric disorders portrayed by feelings of anxiety and fear. Anxiety is a worry about future events and fear is a reaction to current events. These feelings may cause physical symptoms, such as a fast heart rate and shakiness. The specific disorder differs from the symptoms shown. Stress from life events, including past abuse, being intimidated or health worries, can trigger anxiety problems for many people. Symptoms include headache, spasms in the muscle, trembling, fatigue and exhaustion. There are various means of treating anxiety disorders. These include medication and therapy.  There are a number of anxiety disorders: including generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobia, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, panic disorder, and selective mutism. The disorder depends on what symptoms shown. People often have more than one anxiety disorder.

Anxiety disorders can affect anyone and everyone. 7Cups and its active listening service train those willing to partake in an online course to be trained in listening to those looking for support. Connecting to a listener on 7Cups is not a substitute for counseling or therapy, but a platform to vent to a fellow human that may have gone through a similar situation to you. Therapists and counselors also use the idea of active listening when counseling, as listening to someone can help you (and them!) understand the emotions they are feeling and the reasons behind it! 7Cups offers an online therapy service which therapists implement their active listening skills into the way they run their therapy sessions. Anxiety disorders are very common and some people need something as simple as reassurance of a situation to calm themselves down! The Art of Listening is a simple, yet effective, way to help those suffering from anxiety disorders!
