Hello everyone! I am a Verified Listener here at 7 Cups! My name is Blue, pronouns she/her! (I also like the name Sky; you guys can pick which one you call me.) :D I am a person with a deep compassion and understanding for people and I will not be judgmental towards you for any of your issues. I love listening to people and check in with this site every day, so I will do my best to respond to your messages as quickly as I can. During the weekdays I might be a bit slow to respond, though, because I'm still in school and get overloaded with work a lot. But really, don't feel guilty venting to me—I WANT to be here! :) I have a lot of experience with mental health and listening to people about their struggles, although if your problems are outside of my ability to help (suicide, self harm, sexual harassment/assault, substance abuse, drug addiction, domestic violence, trauma from war, injuries, diseases, etc.), please seek professional help or paid therapy with the resources in these links, as I am not trained or equipped to handle these things as a 17-year-old kid. As much as I would really, truly love to be here for all you guys through anything, I really can't do anything about threats to your safety. Those things should be referred to the authorities or a specialist. A bit about me: My birthday is October 21st (yay Libras!), my personality type is INFJ, and I was born in the Year of the Dog (2006)! My favorite color is blue (you probably guessed, haha), my favorite seasons are fall and summer, and my favorite food is Hawaiian Poké bowl. I'm Chinese-American, proud to be so, and have a lot of experience with managing and appreciating cultural identity. I think I'm somewhere on the ace spectrum (probably demisexual and demiromantic), but I don't really care about labels that much, so you can just call me "ace" or "queer" or whatever; I just want to be myself. :) Music is my favorite thing, like, ever; I play flute, viola, sing in a choir, am in a marching band, and love musical theater. I love reading books, particularly YA fantasy, sci-fi, realistic fiction, and LGBTQ+ stories. My top 4...well, technically 5...favorite books are "You've Reached Sam" by Dustin Thao, "They Both Die At The End" by Adam Silvera, "These Violent Delights" (and its sequel, "Our Violent Ends") by my literal queen Chloe Gong, and "Loveless" by Alice Oseman, which I HIGHLY recommend to everyone because they are just so meaningful and explore human connections so deeply. I write my own stories and draw sometimes, although they really aren't that great at all, haha. When I graduate high school, I want to go to medical school (hopefully, haha) to become a reproductive endocrinologist so I can help families! :) I'm also a huge fan of Marvel, My Hero Academia, Lord of the Rings, Top Gun, Taylor Swift, The Piano Guys, Alan Walker, and '80s / '90s Chinese songs (I get that from my amazing mom, haha)! :D
