Hello! I'm glad you've found 7 Cups of Tea. I have completed a 12-week, 300+ hour internship here, and would love to be a part of your journey. Sometimes the world can seem overwhelming to us all. And truly, we all need someone to listen to us in tough times.
I'm here if you want to vent. I'm here if you need to be reminded that you aren't alone. I have been through break-ups, family trauma, family drug addiction, and anxiety, to name a few. I can empathize with most real world problems, and will always be a compassionate listener.
I only take on 2 chats(MAX) at a time as I really want to listen to what you have to say, so if I'm not readily available, we can set up an appointment if you would like.
Message me, and we'll grab our virtual cups of tea together and have a chat!

...See more [Content removed by forum moderator Baubs] Just putting this here and hoping you get it because I cannot type any other way. In case you haven't seen my feed, the general request bar now completely covers my text box and I have no way to type to you in 1-1 conversations. It has been this way for weeks. I've put in a fix request a few times and am checking in daily. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and really miss chatting with all of you. I hope you're well and as soon as I can, you definitely WILL be hearing from me. :) <3 Stay awesome.
We Need to Talk About Modding

...See more Wanted to share this experience because as we sometimes face a lack of mods, that concern shouldn't overshadow the need for quality modding practices. I remember my first group mod experience. I came in and immediately had a member call me out. It wasn't explicit, but it wasn't the warm welcome I got when I used to come in regularly as a non-mod listener. At first, I wondered about the merit of this badge since my knee-jerk reaction was that I had done more "harm" in my first 10 seconds as a mod than ever as a listener, but I thought "no, I'm going to allow this to be a teaching moment." I addressed the member carefully and requested a private chat after my modding duties. He obliged and the actual mod experience was fine. In our private chat after, I asked him about past issues he'd had with mods(granted he wasn't a troll or anything....not sure those folks can be reasoned with). His experience had led him to believe that mods corrupted the organic growing experience with their "rules" and perceived over-zealous policing. We talked a bit more about our training and the reasoning behind some of what we do. We both came away having learned a lot. I think it made me a better mod. And I hope it made him a little less wary having put a name and real conversation with the badge. Group modding is absolutely difficult, and not everyone is going to appreciate it. Dealing w/ trolls is annoying, BUT sometimes you just get someone who has seen some negative stuff and is a little traumatized by it. The badge, while informative to some, can bring negative connotations to others who simply caught a mod at a rough or new moment. No one is perfect. I'm not going to sit here and say every mod has performed their duties perfectly or even ethically. Sometimes, we need to be trained further. That is the reality. But I will also say this - sometimes you get trolls. Legit trolls who come in to wreck up the place. And sometimes you get people who are on edge from previous unnecessary and negative experience and just need someone to hear them out. It's important for us to be able to recognize the difference.
Mindfulness Exercises

...See more To whoever put this new feature together. I absolutely LOVE it. I really appreciate having these handy as I often reference youtube or other sites that offer such exercises to members. That being said, I immediately recognized one of the exercises as being TheHonestGuys from youtube, and couldn't find their name referenced anywhere. I think it's imperative we cite our sources and give credit where it is due. Especially if these folks also offer comfort in different ways(other meditations, exercies, etc.) than what we have put on our site from that particular source. I LOVE TheHonestGuys. They do tremendous work, and offer lots of different guided meditations, which I'm sure we don't offer all here. We should definitely build up our partners as well. We're all in this together! :)
