I am a student in training in the process of obtaining my Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling through the Kelowna College of Professional Counselling. I currently have my Certified Human Resources Leader designation with a Certificate in Human Resources Management obtained with honours. I have worked in the capacity of Human Resources for over 20 years and have a vast amount of experience building relationships, providing guidance, coaching and support, and managing disabilities and wellness. I also volunteer through the Alzheimers Society/Telecheck. Through them I make calls out to clients over the age of 55 who are impacted by mental illness to give gentle reminders of medications and appointments; checking on safety and well-being; paying special attention to subtle changes in the person's mental and/or physical health and reporting concerns if and when required.
