Can joking around be a way to help people?
Well i cannot ask the person that If they'll be fine if i make any jokes..
I feel jokes really uplift the mood of majority of people.
@LOOPHOLE
I think it may depend on the person and how depressed they are.
I have not laughed at a joke for longer than i can remember. When someone tell me a joke i try to smile at them so they are not put off by their joke being a dud.
@LOOPHOLE yeah I rhink it depends on the person/vibe of the conversation. I personally appreciate jokes when I'm feeling down. It also feels like you're a genuine friend
I try to get to know people/the situation before I joke or make light of it. When I was in finance, some people found it more relaxing to joke, others were offended. I would let people know that I sometimes used laughter as a way to explain or lift spirits, so did they prefer a more formal approach or was joking a good way to help them.
@LOOPHOLE
Joking around can be a good way to help people as it can be a mood lifter, a good exercise, a stress reliever, e.t.c. However some jokes can be offending depending on the structure of the joke because not everyone has the same sense of humor.
So its always better to be careful in whatever method is to be used.
It held for a while but I speak from experience that life is a chest it has a limit. Instead of it coming out gradually eventually it will all come out and won't shut for a bit
