🌈 LGBTQIA+ FRIENDS YOU ARE WELCOME HERE

🌺 Hello Dear Friend! 🌺

I’m holding a cozy and safe space just for you. Imagine me as a thoughtful friend: someone who listens with kindness, never judges, and doesn’t try to “fix” you. While I don’t give advice, I offer compassion, empathy, good conversation, helpful resources, and even a few laughs. I am not easily triggered, and I take hard chats with patience and grace. 💟  I live with my own mental health experiences, and have been sober for 16 yearsI’m also happy to take casual chats if you just need a gentle distraction from life’s worries 🍵 🌿🍄 I also enjoy mentoring fellow listeners and helping them achieve their 7Cups goals! 💙

Knotted Friendship Bracelets
Hobby Zone / by TovaCares76

...See more This is another one of my therapeutic hobbies! I love making knotted friendship bracelets out of embroidery floss. You can also use yarn, craft string, anything you have. I started with yarn. :)  I wear the majority of them too! I have some the represent friends of mine, some represent things in my life, and some I just think are pretty!  If you want to try to learn how to do this I recommend two channels on YT MashaKnots Craftanatic Both of these creators teach step by step how to make the bracelets, and they do the best job out of anyone else explaining how to do things. Masha also has two books which I love. Once you learn how to read patterns, you can go to braceletbook.com and they have thousands of patterns you can make, a lot of them along with pictures other creators have posted! If you do make some bracelets please post them so I can see them! :)

🌟💙 My First Cupsversary! 🌟💙

...See more Hello friends!  One year ago, I joined 7 Cups not really knowing what to expect. I was looking for volunteer hours as I was studying Peer Support. Looking back, I can honestly say it has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding journeys I've been on. 🌼 I did not imagine I would be helping people in the way that I am. Not just our members, talking with them, encouraging them, listening patiently to them. Helping our listeners grow. Seeing them being proud of their achievements has only enrichened this experience. What I truly never expected was the incredible people I would meet along the way. Over the past year, I've made unique connections that I'll always treasure. I've been lucky enough to meet some truly sweet friends and get to know so many wonderful members of this community. Every conversation, whether it was filled with laughter, encouragement, thoughtful discussion, compassion, or simply quiet understanding, has reminded me how much kindness exists in the world. 💖 This past year has also been a year of personal growth. I've learned so much about myself. My strengths, my challenges, and the areas where I still want to grow. I've become more confident in expressing myself, more patient with both myself and others, and more open to seeing different perspectives. I've learned that meaningful connections aren't built overnight. They're built through listening, empathy, honesty, and showing up for one another.  Being part of this community has also helped me become more comfortable interacting and engaging with people. I've learned how to communicate with greater compassion, how to support others while respecting boundaries, and how much even the smallest act of kindness can brighten someone's day. Those lessons are ones I'll carry with me far beyond 7 Cups. To everyone who has shared a conversation with me, made me smile, offered encouragement, or simply been part of this journey: thank you. You've made this first year unforgettable, and I'm so grateful our paths crossed. Here's to celebrating my first Cupsversary, to all of the friendships and memories that made it special, and to many more meaningful conversations and connections in the years ahead. Thank you for making 7 Cups feel like a place where people like me can truly belong. ❤️ If I missed you in my taglist I'm so sorry but please know I cherish you!!  @Ruben470 @Bow64 @daydreammemories @LexListens2025 @Jenna @AnnaSilverberg @InternalAcceptance @Heather227 @Ivy229 @Remina @ACozyBunny @SafeEmbrace @CandleLight06 @amiablePeace77 @magicpawsoffuture @Rebekah @Suryansh @Hope @positivePumpkin22 @carrotgoosoup @SparkyGizmo @pamharley003 @soulsings @JustSophia @KristenHR @BlueRivercares

Giving The Gift of Confidence: Donating My Hair
Positivity & Gratitude / by TovaCares76
Last post
July 19th
...See more Hello! Tova here, and I'm back with a new personal adventure story!  In 2020, I lost 60% of my hair due to a traumatic fall. The hair loss is called telogen effluvium, and it can happen after a serious accident, illness or trauma. The neat part? Your hair grows back in white and for some people, you can even grow in a white patch! The bad news? You lose hair. Sometimes it doesn't grow back. I was scared that would happen to me. At first, the doctor told me it was female pattern balding, and there was nothing I could do but try to grow it back in. Thankfully, it was just the TE. I hated it so much I covered my head. It was embarrassing, I had big patches of hair loss. I prayed often, and I promised God that if I someday grow my thick hair back in, I would grow it to my waist and donate it all. Well, I reached that milestone this past week, and cut it all off! :) I chose Locks of Love as my donation location. I have donated to them before in the past and I love their mission! Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization in the United States that provides hairpieces to children and young adults experiencing medical hair loss due to conditions such as alopecia, burns, cancer treatments, and other health-related causes. They accept donated hair that is used to create high-quality wigs and other hair prosthetics for kids ages 6-21 regardless of their background, race, religion or gender, and they are NEVER charged a single dime.   If you are looking to donate your hair, here's how you do it:  * Grow your hair to the required length, which for Locks of Love is 10 inches.  * Visit a salon or have your hair cut according to the donation guidelines. * Place the cut hair (make sure it's in a braid or ponytail!) in a sealed plastic bag. * Mail your donation to Locks of Love using the address listed on their website. There are lots of other ways you can help support this cause if you cannot grow out your hair!  💙 Make a financial donation to support the creation and distribution of hair prosthetics.  💙 Volunteer at fundraising events. 💙 Share information about Locks of Love and other donation groups with friends and family. 💙 Organize a hair donation drive in your community. Your hair could mean the difference in a child's confidence and self-esteem! I highly encourage hair donation, especially if you're a lucky girlie with long thick hair like me. Well, I *did* have long hair...now it's above my shoulders. It makes me so happy that my hair will someday be part of a wig that makes a young person feel better about themselves. :)  Have you ever donated your hair or know someone who has? If not, do you have a favorite charity or nonprofit that you like to work with or donate to? I love to hear stories of sharing strength and hope with others! Share your experience below!

When One Door Closes
Positivity & Gratitude / by TovaCares76

...See more Hello dear friends! 🌷✨ Let me tell you, life has a funny way of guiding us where we’re meant to be. Sometimes a door closes, and in the moment it can feel disappointing, confusing, or even heartbreaking 💔. But often, after some time passes, we begin to see that another door quietly opened in its place. One that leads to new opportunities, friendships, lessons, or happiness we never expected. 🌈💛 Not every ending is a failure. I personally don't believe in failure. Sometimes endings are simply redirections toward something better for us. Even when it’s hard, there’s comfort in knowing that life continues to unfold in ways we may not yet understand. 🌻 If you’re going through a season of change, be gentle with yourself. Trust that new beginnings can grow from closed doors. And remember, some of those doors closed for a good reason. Trust the process. Your open door awaits. 🚪✨🌿 Now tell me: 💭 When was a time in your life that one door closed, but another unexpectedly opened for you? I can't wait to read your answers! 💕

...See more Hi! We all have a special friend who has a birthday today! @Bow64 :)  Bow you are such an inspiration to so many people on 7Cups. Not only all of the members you spend your time helping, but the listeners you spend time encouraging, being patient with, mentoring, and even sharing a few laughs. You give tirelessly and ask for very little in return, and I want you to know you, too, deserve every bit of care you dish out to each and every life you touch here.  I hope you have a wonderful birthday!! 🎀🌈💙 Tova aka Nana taglist: (Please tag anyone you think I missed!)  @Jenna @AnnaSilverberg @Heather225 @InternalAcceptance @Ruben470 @LexListens2025 @SafeEmbrace @Ivy229 @Magicpawsoffuture @amiablePeace77 @soulsings @JustSophia
