Bio
Hi there. My name is Michelle and I love meeting people from different walks of life. My work takes me to far-flung places around the world, which has afforded me an openness to new ideas and the ability to connect with just about anyone. In my personal healing journey, I spent many years grappling with and integrating my own shadows. Eventually, I reemerged with a renewed sense of trust. These experiences gave me compassion for others, as well as the ability to ground myself in the presence of others' pain. I hope to have the opportunity to hold space for you, even if only for a brief moment in your journey.
I have direct lived experience in the following stressors: early childhood trauma; complex PTSD (C-PTSD); dissociation; chronic fatigue; disordered eating; depression; anxiety; fear of flying; insomnia; panic attacks; hormonal imbalances; relationship stress; work stress; grief; homesickness; living abroad; prejudice and racial tension.
While I do not offer advice, upon a member's request, I would be happy to share resources and personal experience on the following topics: self-awareness and interoception; nervous system regulation; PTSD and trauma recovery; attachment styles and communication; navigating the many therapy modalities; how to navigate insurance options; and other useful phone/web-based resources (free/paid) that I have personally found benefit from.
In my free time, I enjoy slow travel, photojournalism, storytelling, and tinkering about in the kitchen.
Feel free to connect with me or drop me a line!
Note on Response Times: 7Cups sometimes shows me as being online when I am actually away from my desk. Depending on my availability, there may be a delay of up to 48 hours before I return your message.
