Hello! My name is Jay, I'm a High School Junior. Some things I enjoy are music, art, photography, and Engineering + Design. I am a board member of a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for cancer patients, and I volunteer at my local ambulance corps. I'm a high schooler , and for most of my life people would come to me with problems ,and I really wanted to help, so much... i just didn't know how. Some people got better with my help, actually a lot of people did, and that feeling of seeing someone get better , is a kind of happiness nothing will ever come close to. Helping people get through their emotional problems, gave me a purpose.... something i'm the most passionate about out of everything else, cause i know what it's like to be stuck in your own mind , i know what it's like to have everyone not realize you're not okay , and keep telling you to stop being a wuss about it. I want to be the person who listens for other people. I want to be there, this has driven me to want to become a psychiatrist when i grow up ,and i am working hard on that dream everyday.

Life can bring immense challenges, but it also holds the capacity for profound healing, resilience, and hope. My own life has been shaped by major turning points, including walking through profound loss and navigating long-term struggles with trauma, PTSD, and CPTSD. I know firsthand how heavy the weight of grief and sorrow can feel. My personal journey—and my faith as a Christian—has given me a deep heart for those who are hurting. Out of this passion, I am currently pursuing formal studies in a professional counseling diploma program (graduating in March 2027) to deepen my understanding of human healing.
