Write as much as you like😊 This is mine: Hello everyone, I would like, to introduce you to Saffron Hook. This is her name, because on the surface she seems harmless and beautiful (like a flower) but can be toxic, and once you meet her you are hooked - its very hard to escape from her. She had big, dark eyes, and sharp nails for scratching people. Saffron has severe depression and anxiety, and possibly OCD. Sometimes, when we are alone together later in the evening, she holds onto my wrist, and gently forces me to pick up the sharpest scissors I own. They are in the bedside table: she tells me to keep them here so I can always get them easily. She cuts my skin using my hands, but she is careful; she avoids veins. Other times, I resist, and I dont let her control me, or we compromise. The compromise is that she uses my fingernails to scratch me, so less damage is done. To distract her when we are alone together, I like to play music or text friends. We only ever hurt me when we are completely alone and completely silent. She whispers to me constantly, many Bad Thoughts (for example, all my friends hate me). But it isnt Saffrons fault: we both have problems and we are working together to overcome them. We are talking to other people with a Saffron to find coping mechanisms and other ways to de-stress without cutting. I am learning that I must accept Saffron, because she wont just disappear from me hating her. We are both trying to accept each other and our emotions. Saffron isnt my friend, but one day she might be, which will happen if she stops cutting me. That is my hope for my future with Saffron.

...See more hey, my name is hollie and i struggle with self-harm in times of extreme stress. i try not to cut anywhere that will cause an severe damage, so usually on the outsides of my arms. i have a thing about drawing tallies to calm down and sometimes cut them into my skin, so i have two tallies currently scarred on my left arm. i know its not a good, healthy, or particularly safe way of coping with stress but i cant stop myself (i know thats a bit stupid i guess). i would like to know ways to de-stress and not self-harm, as i am struggling to stop and recover. i would really appreciate any advice 25tallies xx
