Hello! I am a first-gen student who recently graduated from college. As a child of immigrants, there have been some obstacles that I’ve had to overcome like the feeling of being a person caught between two worlds - the home country of my ancestors and the country that we live in now.

I have also dealt with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety for most of my life. Although there are still challenges, I’ve learned how to live with some of these things and turn to healthier outlets.

I enjoy creative activities like writing poetry and journaling or making art through painting and drawing. Playing the piano is also another one of my hobbies. When it’s difficult for me to find the words to express my thoughts and emotions, I’m grateful that I have these other avenues.
