...See more My wife and I have been together over 8 years and married almost 6 years. Over the past 6-12 months I have noticed my wife growing distant, cold and frankly mean. In December I ended up telling her how she had been acting and treating me over the last few months. She told me I don't communicate with her, that she was unhappy living where we are living. And for the first time she referenced not wanting to be in a relationship with someone as bad at communicating as me. I was floored. I talk to her daily. I am relentlessly interested in her. January she told me she wanted a divorce. She told me I do not communicate with her. And I make her feel stupid when we talk, so she doesn't like talking to me. She then (over the next 2 days) had a nervous breakdown. And ended up for the first time in a therapists office and then at a psychiatrist. She was diagnosed with manic depression, PTSD, and BiPolar disorder. She started taking medication and after a few weeks she staryed acting like her "old self". About a week ago she said she felt like the meds weren't working as well anymore. She said she would tell her doctor to try and get the dose raised. Her appoinment was supposed to be the 18th. Throughout the week she grew more distant and yesterday she told me she was done. She wants a divorce. Shebtold me she loves me but doesn't want ro be with someone who wont talk to her. I am at a loss. She wont go to counselling. And she doesn't want to talk anymore.
