...See more Ive struggled with anxiety on and off as long as I can remember, but since 2021 has started it’s gotten debilitating for me. I have panic disorder, GAD, and health anxiety. Recently started antidepressants to gain control. I’m always concerned about the condition of my heart, checking my pulse, looking for arrhythmias/heart palpitations, you name it. I happen to suffer from anxiety-induced chest pain and recently I did some research about why chest pain can happen with anxiety. It felt really liberating to me to know that I’m not actually having heart attacks when I have panic attacks. Unfortunately, knowing about the causes won’t stop the pain I feel, but it’ll (hopefully) keep me from going into full panic mode when I think my heart stopped or skipped a beat or just simple heartburn that can be fixed with antacids. :)
