Heyo! I'm Michael. I'm a twenty something complicated individual. I used to work collecting research in Emergency Rooms and I found that engagement with patients very rewarding, especially in contrast to what I generally busy myself with, which is usually staid, analytical work/study.
I'm an introvert at heart- I get little out of small talk and I'm more comfortable with a small set of close friends. But I do like talking to people, engaging with them, getting to know them. I find it personally therapeutic. This sort of communion with other human beings is the closest thing I have to a spiritual experience, which is significant for me as I am a nonreligious (agnostic) scientist.
So... yeah. I'm generally available nights Pacific Standard Time on weekdays, where I do mindless chores before bed and hopefully can talk to people who would like someone to talk to.
Some other notes- I'm nonjudgmental and egalitarian. I think 99 percent of what divides people is silly. Not everything wrong in the world is due to misunderstanding but civility goes a long way.
