...See more Hi! After 20 years of being misdiagnosed by over a half dozen experts in mental health, I was recently diagnosed with Adult ADHD. I was thoroughly assessed in a practice specializing in ADHD. It has been years of struggling. Mind you, I am fairly accomplished, a seasoned senior executive (now retired), but one who had many, many difficulties.  The short version is I have been more productive in 6-8 weeks than 6-8 years. I feel 15 years younger and now smile. I have 2 children who had seen counselors for over 2 years, and they too were misdiagnosed. They too are being treated and the changes have been life changing.  So unfortunate that even experts in mental health miss the obvious. It’s frustrating and I am angry but yet grateful. It took weeks of dosage adjustments and beginehavioral changes, but I just want to shout it out and hopefully, I can someday help those to avoid long struggles. The topper for me is that after years of having 3-4 hours maybe of uninterrupted sleep, I am now getting up to 9 hours. This never happened in over 15 years.  Continue the push so more can understand this disorder and avoid such unnecessary struggling. Forever grateful.
