When I take general requests I give that person my full attention. Meaning I chat with ONE person at a time. I know that means I don't get as many chats in but I feel the person I talk to deserves my full attention. I consider myself funny and kind and I have a warped sense of humor. So if you try to message me please do not be offended if I don't answer. If I am with someone I don't check messages. But it never hurts to try. I put my button as green if I am on and active! Good luck to you. I understand the feeling of struggling every day. I know the feeling of wanting to give up. Please hang in there and reach out!

CHRONIC TESTICULAR PAIN

...See more Ok, I post this because you asked if your disability is not listed. Well there it is! See I know it will make you all laugh and that's great, we all need a laugh. But it actually is a huge issue for me. When I go to the hospital there is not "testicular pain" floor. So I get stuck in the most RANDOM places. I once was put in OBGYN! I once was put on the heart floor. I once was on cancer. My all time favorite???? BARIATRICS! I woke up from surgery and I was not supposed to be staying. So I was confused. I guess I was not waking up fast enough to make them happy so they were going to make me stay. I of course was groggy and confused. I noticed the room was HUGE. My bed was big too. So I am the type of patient who hates to make a fuss and I am always appologizing for everything. Well when you come on a stretcher to a new room it is always a production. They swoop in and you have like 4-5 people all around and they stickers go on and the leg cuffs and all that junk. They got ready to slide me over with a slide board. I said "no, no I can just move over myse;f." They were all like NOOOOOOO. But I was like "I am too fat to move, I don't want you to hurt yourself." No one told me I was on the floor where overweight people go. I mean like 400 pound people. This of course all made them laugh because at 165 pounds I was the smallest patient they had! Ahhhhhh, yeah that one was embarrassing when my wife wispered in my ear what BARIATRICS meant. Ahhhh good memories!

Add a new AGE category?
Safety & Knowledge at 7 Cups / by AndyDufresne1994

...See more Hi. I am very sorry for creating a new thread. I try to put these where they best fit but I just didn't see where this would best be posted. I promise I am keeping this VERY POSITIVE, so don't close your eyes! I totally understand why 7 Cups tells us to be very careful with our personal information. I get why you don't share social media handles or emails or whatever would make you easy to find. But I guess I don't understand why AGE could not be a exception. We already have a teen side. That is cool. I also see this place kind of skews young. Makes sense, when something is technology based that is true. But I say SKEWS... meaning there are TONS of people on here 30 and up. Why does this matter? As a listener, like I am supposed to, I grab the next in line.... SOMETIMES I get someone 19. I am not saying I can not help this person. I am not saying I even care. But sometimes I have NO CLUE what they are talking about. I am old enough to be their father! I am sure the opposite could be true. They may wonder why they got an old geezer to talk to and why is he telling me to turn the music down and respect your elders? HAHA All I am asking is why could we not have a age identifier to help both listeners and members better search for the type of help they need. I am not suggesting we slap our age up there. But could there be ranges? 20-29, 30-39 etc.... or just a simple 35 plus or whatever. I guess I just feel sometimes I find my hardest chats are with someone so young I just do not understand the struggle they have. Lets face it, a LOT has changed in the last 25 years! I LOST ALL MY HAIR!! If that isn't possible is a chat room an idea? I guess I am just asking if any of this would be possible without really messing up the flow you have now. I am by no means saying if this doesn't happen I am out of here. I just feel we could be doing a little better.
