...See more Everytime I wake up from a night of excessive drinking, I think of the same thought process. Start self hating and making endless promises that I can never seem to keep or follow. Hello ladies and gentlemen my name is apple and I'm an alcoholic I come from a family of drinkers, it was first introduced to me at a very young age. Family reunions mostly consist of loud music adults partying while the kids were either given or came across alcohol during the event. Resulting in my slow development towards alcoholism Drinking threwout middle school high-school and later in college I developed quite a stomach for booze. Consuming large amounts I could hold my own. 20-30 beers in one sitting was very common , drinking like that 3-4 /times a week really puts a number on your health. First started out with anxiety. No cure just patiently waiting it out ,the body is detoxing leading a vast amounts of signals to the brain. To an alcoholic this moment leads to drinking again only to repeat the endless cycle Gaining weight. At my biggest I was 260, very unhealthy looking, didn't have the best skin. No motivation, no drive, little to none exercises. Probably couldn't run a mile to save my life I would love to see myself again when I went 9 months sober for the first time ever, I was enjoying life driving to places that brought me joy, doing differnt activities keeping the mind distracted dropping 60 pounds running 3-4 miles a week Everything happened all in a short period of time. I ended up living with my best friend after a long relationship of 8 years, my grandmother ended up passing away. Preparing the house remodeling wiped all of my savings. during all of this i started pushing people away isolated in my own thoughts leaded to me right back where I left off drinking almost everyday. One day I'll get back on the horse, start enjoying life again, hit the gym and eat healthy. I don't think my body can handle anymore of this. I plan on starting my new life today and hope to hear from everyone and to hear your stories. I have to change people..... I just have too .28 is too young.
