How do I motivate without nagging?

...See more My wife is hands down, my best friend. There is nothing I would ever rather do, than spend time with her. However, she sufers from depression, anxiety, both social and generalized, (as I do as well) and she is incredibly self-deprecating. She is extrememly talented in various fields, but refuses to practice to refine these talents. She's been out of work for a really long time, and while I make enough to support us both, we could be living way more comfortably if she would help out. Everytime it comes to applying to a job, she makes the excuse that her portfolio needs to be updated, when I tell her to work on updating her portfolio, she comes up with reason after reason not to, for example, there's no room to work confortably at home, her computer's too slow, she doesn't like my computer, she's just too tired to work etc. I know a lot of this stems from her afflictions, but I don't know how to motivate her, without seeming like I'm just nagging her and making her feel worse about it. Any ideas at all?
