Bio
Hey! I'm Astrid. I'm so glad you've found me on 7 Cups of Tea. I'm a 20 year old queer college student studying psychology and creative writing. I'm a trained active listener (and for the next 12 weeks, a 7 Cups intern) and I'd love to talk to you about anything and everything, especially anxiety, bullying, body image issues, LGBTQIA stuff, stress, and perfectionism. If I'm online, please feel free to start a chat. If I'm offline, then send me a message an we can set up a time to connect. Glad you are here!

“No man can reveal to you aught but that which already lies half asleep in the dawning of your knowledge.
The teacher who walks in the shadow of the temple, among his followers, gives not of his wisdom but rather of his faith and his lovingness.
If he is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind.”

...See more Hey guys!  So many people on this site have had such interesting lives with so many twists and turns and ups and downs, and we’ve all got an inspiring thought or story inside us—something that keeps us going when things get tough, a happy memory, something we’re proud of, someone we’ve helped.  One of our members, CrimsonBike, had a brilliant idea: to create a scrapbook out of the positive thoughts and stories of listeners and members on 7 Cups of Tea, and we cordially invite you to share your experiences and kind words with us. There are no rules! Everything is okay: quotes and stories short or long, even a happy poem or a random uplifting thought you had in the shower. As long as it makes you happy. That’s all that matters. How to contribute: 1) If you feel comfortable, post in this forum. That way we can all see the positivity and you might inspire someone else to share their happy. 2) If your story is really personal or you just don’t feel like being too public with it, send me a PM, and let me know your thoughts! I’d love to hear them, and they’ll stay our little secret. A link to my account here [https://www.7cups.com/ListenerDetails/AstridKingsley/]. 3) No matter how you choose to contribute, your usernames won’t be mentioned in the scrapbook. We’ll be keeping this as confidential as possible. A few ground rules: 1) Don’t share any personally identifying information—keep real names, addresses, social media handles, and the like out of your contribution. 2) Unless you have permission, don’t share anyone’s 7 Cups username (even though we’re not putting usernames in the scrapbook, it’s just nicer that way.) Other than that, we’d love to hear your thoughts! So go forth and share your happy!
