Be it a slayed dragon, By the knight’s might. Or a royal wagon, Awaiting the queen in white. Tolkien’s lores, Rowling’s wizards. Stroker’s gores, Or Dahl’s laugh hazards. They’re a sanctuary, Against loneliness. And the world’s misery, Bringing happiness. But what are ‘they’? You may ask. As I say, They are books behind a mask. A Random Short Prologue I Wrote

...See more Prologue Night had fallen. The ancient cemetery was still barren. But one particular grave was unique despite the years that had passed. Moss had grown all over the grave. But something was special about that moss. It was deadly. But unlike you think, it wasn’t the cause of death of people. Why? Nobody came near the grave, all the other graves were far away from that one. But today was a different day, a rather special day. No, not only because it was a full-moon night. History would begin to be repeated on this day. A new era would begin. The *** moon’s rays were falling on the crest of the you-know-what now. Darkness had fallen over the grave but the crest which held the darkest of the darkest secret glistened with radiance. Suddenly a dark shadow began lurking on it. The shadow turned into a man. It was as if the man had appeared out of the crest itself. With his dark-as-death-’s-eye robe, the man dug out the grave and took out something. The object was barely visible. He looked at it with his sharp black yet luminous eyes as if they would pierce into the concealed object. Hiding it cautiously in his robe he took off with a flash of light. But no, it didn’t end with this, the real bewilderments were yet to come to the human world.

The ocean can never touch the shore, No matter how far it goes. The star goes down in flames, Whenever it hopes to reach the earth. ...See more Friends or Foes? She was lively. But fed up with all the light, Craved to know what loneliness was like. He was lonely. But fed up with all the darkness, Craved to know what liveliness was like. Both met. Both were different. They knew it. But became friends. She began to like the night. He began to like the day. Both changed, still different from each other. But lovers now. Do you know their names? She was later called Death. He was later called Life. Life made and gifted beings to death. Death took good care of them. When Life cried, Death cried with him. When Death laughed, Life laughed with her. Do you remember, how completely different they were? ...See more You don’t know where they may be, Silently sipping their tea. May look calm, Good the lines on their palm. But inside they’re dying, All they tryna do is surviving. Inside there is a spirit so kind, But isn’t the world so spined? Tearing the soul apart, Hunting their mind and heart. You say a thing that’s not so kind, It may forever *** their mind. They know how to hide it, Suffocating the tears in a pit. You may never know, The things they don’t show. To them darkness isn’t foreign, It is Oh! So common. This is an endless abyss, But how do I know this? You may ask, Because behind the mask, I am a victim. The odds are pretty slim. I know, Did I ever show? No. But don’t care now, Did you? When I had to bow. To the hardships, Going through the flips. It was a labyrinth, I just wanted a hint. I knew there was no such thing as perfection, But still I hated my reflection. A cloak of sadness draped my heart, A tale of tears, the world apart. None of you did care, Said sitting on a chair, “Oh, that’s nothing, No need to still cling.” Did you ever guess, My mind must be in a mess. No one could fix, I felt like Nyx. No one deserves, The darkness they preserve. So, stay strong, Prove the world wrong. Then sit by the sea, And quietly see. How far have you come? Here now I keep my mum. Think about it. Doesn’t it all fit? Soooo....how's it?
